China News Service, September 26, according to the WeChat official account of the Information Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in order to implement the "Cyber Security Law" and other relevant legal regulations, steadily promote the management of real-name registration, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of citizens in cyberspace, industry and informatization The Ministry recently issued the "Notice on Strengthening the Management of Real-Name Registration of IoV Cards" to start the real-name registration of IoV cards.
The "Notice" put forward 12 work measures in terms of consolidating management responsibilities, strengthening real-name registration, strengthening personal information protection, and organizing supervision and inspection to further standardize and refine the requirements for real-name registration of car networking cards.
First, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology instructs the provincial communications administration and industry and information authorities to organize telecommunications companies and road motor vehicle manufacturers to promote the real-name registration of car networking cards according to the different stages of vehicle sales before, during and after sales;
Second, when road motor vehicle manufacturers sell vehicles loaded with IoV cards to users, they should carefully verify and register the true identity information of the vehicle owner, and complete the real-name supplement registration of existing IoV cards by the end of September 2022;
Third, road motor vehicle manufacturers and telecommunications companies should take effective management and technical measures to strengthen the protection of users’ personal information and prevent information leakage, damage, loss, and illegal use.
In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will coordinate development and safety, actively guide and urge road motor vehicle manufacturers and telecommunications companies to implement the main responsibility for safety, improve the management system for real-name registration of car networking cards, improve safety management technical means, and strengthen work implementation. Promote the safe and orderly development of the Internet of Vehicles business.
