Eager to improve its impact on the environment, Volvo has decided to ban leather from its options catalog.
For now, this decision only applies to the Recharge electric range and begins with the C40.
The automaker wants 25% of all materials in new cars to be recycled and made from natural components by 2025, and wants its immediate suppliers to use 100% renewable energy.
As alternatives, Volvo will, among other things, offer an interior in Nordico, a material made from recycled plastic bottles.
