Market expansion, broadband dynamics and innovation, accelerate the new energy automobile industry into the fast lane

  Hot spot tracking

How much mileage can be reached?

What is the power battery level?

Can charging and replacing batteries be more convenient?

These are all important considerations for consumers when choosing new energy vehicles.

With the rapid development of the new energy automobile industry, what are the progress of these issues?

Public data shows that from January to July, the sales volume of new energy vehicles by production enterprises was 1.478 million, exceeding the full-year level of 2020.

The main consumer of new energy passenger vehicles has gradually shifted from the public sector to private purchases.

The broadening of the market has to a large extent promoted the acceleration of application and innovation.

Tian Yulong, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that with the continuous increase in industrial development, my country has established a complete industrial system for new energy vehicles that connects upstream and downstream, breaking through key technologies such as batteries, motors, and electronic control.

Among them, the power battery technology is at the leading level in the world. Compared with 2012, the single energy density has increased by 2.2 times and the cost has been reduced by about 85%.

According to the China Automotive Industry Development Annual Report 2021 issued by the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in 2020, my country's auto patents will be published at 295,000, and new energy vehicles and intelligent networked vehicles account for 43%.

Power battery companies such as CATL, BYD, and AVIC Lithium Battery have become important global suppliers.

Industry insiders pointed out that although power battery technology continues to improve, pure electric vehicles still have problems such as reduced cruising range in low-temperature environments.

All these require further research and development of key materials, safety protection design for the full life cycle of power batteries, etc., to lay a solid foundation for the development of new energy vehicles.

In terms of cruising range, data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show that the average cruising range of pure electric passenger vehicles has increased from 253 kilometers in 2016 to 378 kilometers in 2020.

At present, many vehicles have reached more than 500 kilometers, and their cruising range has been greatly improved on the original basis.

In recent years, while increasing the supporting facilities for charging facilities, my country has also accelerated the application of intelligent charging equipment and explored ways to improve charging efficiency.

Not long ago, the V2G electric vehicle charging pile of State Grid Zhejiang Haining Power Supply Company was built in Jianshan New District, Haining City.

Each set of equipment can provide charging services for 10 electric vehicles at the same time, and dynamically adjust the charging guns and charging piles according to the data to complete the allocation of idle power.

At the 2021 World New Energy Vehicle Conference held previously, the technology of connecting to the charging network can meet the power supply needs of different types of vehicles. Participating in power interactions such as peak shaving and valley filling of the power grid, peak shaving and frequency modulation has also become the industry’s focus on intelligent and efficient charging. New exploration.

According to data from Tianyan Check, there are currently nearly 130,000 charging pile-related companies in my country. Starting in 2016, the number of registrations of electric vehicle swap-related companies has increased rapidly.

"With the continuous increase in the penetration rate of new energy vehicles, the layout of charging and swapping infrastructure has expanded significantly, and the intelligentization of charging facilities has continued to advance." said Fu Bingfeng, executive vice president and secretary general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

The reporter learned that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is further improving policies and measures to support the merger and reorganization of advantageous enterprises, making them bigger and stronger, and increasing industrial concentration.

At the same time, speed up the construction of charging and replacement infrastructure, speed up the application of 5G and vehicle-road collaborative technology, and put forward higher standards in terms of quality and safety, low temperature application, etc., and guide enterprises to improve product quality and service levels.
