Panasonic announced that it will start a service next month that connects the TV to the refrigerator and washing machine via the Internet and notifies by voice from the TV that it is usually difficult to notice such as the end of washing.

Panasonic will start with a "voice push notification service".

Specifically, the TV at home and various home appliances are linked via the Internet.

Then, it notifies by voice through the TV speaker that it is usually hard to notice.

For example, it will inform you that the water in the ice maker in the refrigerator is running low, that the laundry is finished, and if you register in advance, you will be notified of the garbage day and medicine time.

In the spring of next year, we will also launch a service to notify the arrival schedule of cargo in cooperation with a courier company.

Masahiro Shinada, Senior Managing Executive Officer of Panasonic, said at an online press conference, "I want you to feel that home appliances are still evolving and are closer to people's lives."

Other manufacturers are also focusing on these services.

Sharp has started a service in which AI proposes recommended menus and automatically sets the heating time by simply connecting the microwave oven to the net and talking about the ingredients at home.

Development competition is fierce for each company to increase the added value of home appliances.
