Citroën intends the new C3 for India, where the manufacturer was absent until this year, and South America, where it intends to strengthen its presence. With 4 million cars sold each year by 2025, India is poised to become the third largest car market in the world. Citroën wants its piece of the pie and has started marketing its products there since the start of the year, with the C5 Aircross. Integrating societal and cultural knowledge and the needs of the country, the C3 will be produced on site, in Chennai. It is the first model of the “C Cubed” program presented in 2019, a family that foresees the launch of three vehicles with an international vocation by 2024. The C3 will also be built and marketed in South America, at the Brazilian plant in Porto Real.

If the new C3 is so compact (less than 4m long), it is to avoid Indian taxes which are determined by the length of the vehicle.

However, it is able to comfortably accommodate 5 adults and has a modern multimedia system.

And because emerging markets go fast, Citroën even integrates online sales and after-sales services!
