[Explanation] In recent years, many foreign friends have come to China because they want to find a new way of life and seize opportunities in work and life.

There is an Englishman in Chengdu. Not only is she one of the tens of thousands of "Rong Piao" in Chengdu, she has also become the youngest foreign female chairwoman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China.

On the morning of the 15th, in a high-end office building in Jinjiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan, Harri Sheffer began his daily "brainstorming" again.

It is understood that Harri, who has been working and living in Chengdu for 5 years, got to know Chengdu for a short-term internship a few years ago.

During the internship, she fell in love with the city.

I came here as an intern on a two-week government trip. The internship was very short, and I fell in love with this city at that time.

What is different from Northeast (China) is that it is exciting, full of vitality and vitality.

So when I returned to the UK to graduate, I returned to Chengdu for an internship, hoping to seize some opportunities.

[Explanation] In Harri's view, Chengdu's "slow life" allows her to find a balance between life and work, and Chengdu's economic development has also brought convenience to entrepreneurs.

Therefore, during the 5 years of living in Chengdu, Harri not only established a media platform focusing on providing foreigners with knowledge content services "landing in Chengdu", but also established a creative design company in 2019 to provide creative planning for Chinese and foreign companies , Art pattern design and other services.

When I first came here, I hoped to bring British interns to China to experience the Chinese working environment.

Then I met my partner and we established a new media company. This platform is now operating in various parts of China, such as Xi'an and Chengdu.

In a few years, I think it’s time to do something new.

I have always liked design, and most of my work is also related to design.

So I decided to start a company related to design and branding.

This is about 2 years ago.

[Explanation] After 3 years of operation, the media service platform founded by Harri has gained 10,000 fans.

The creative design company she founded has gradually gotten onto the right track.

In the past year and a half, a wide variety of design invitations have come in. Clients include multinational game companies and well-known sports brands.

A lot of the work we do is to help international companies here to work on their corporate values and internal design.

Many of our designers are from the UK, but we are indeed a Chengdu design company.

Therefore, we specifically help Chinese companies to narrow the design gap with the West, and then we also help Western companies to localize some of their products and designs.

Chinese design is indeed rapidly developing and changing, developing its own unique aesthetics.

I think we are here now, we can build a bridge connecting the East and the West, and create some cool works to serve the aesthetics of both sides.

[Explanation] Harri said that in her design, Chengdu has brought them a lot of inspiration and inspiration.

For example, mahjong, gaiwan tea, Sichuan dialect, etc. are incorporated into the design.

She believes that these humorous designs incorporating Sichuan cultural elements have realized the connection between foreign companies and local culture and effectively expressed corporate values.

Like where we are now, we help make large-scale murals that use Sichuan cultural elements.

Just like we like to use Sichuan dialect in our design.

This will allow company employees to feel the local language and culture at work.

Some companies also have mahjong suits made with their own characters.

We also use a lot of urban buildings and topography in the design.

Localization and "corporate murals" are what we like to do, and injecting this special Sichuan flavor into everything we do is what makes this design special.

[Explanation] At the same time, as the youngest foreign female chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China, Harri laughed and said that youth and creativity are her greatest strengths, but she still has a long "learning road" to go.

For us, we also hope to seek development in Chongqing.

The Chamber of Commerce covers Chengdu and Chongqing, because our office and community of the Southwest British Chamber of Commerce are in the Chengdu area.

Combined with the government's policy to connect the two cities this year, we are very happy to continue to promote and understand the development of Chongqing. At the same time, we also encourage British companies to settle in Chongqing.

Like I said, I'm still very young, so I definitely have a lot to learn.
