In the aftermath of the strike of SPC Group members at the Shani Gwangju factory in Honam, the industry's No. 1 Paris Baguette franchise, there is a disruption in the supply of bread to 3,400 stores nationwide.

According to the food industry, the number of delivery vehicles currently participating in the strike is around 200, or 30% of the total, between Gwangju and Wonju, and between Daegu and Seongnam warehouses.

These vehicles are responsible for transporting bread dough and bread products from the warehouse of SPC Group, which operates Paris Baguette, to Paris Baguette franchises nationwide.

SPC Group said, "There are differences between franchisees nationwide, but the situation is causing disruptions in product supply."

Bread dough and bread are delivered three times a day at dawn and during the day, and only when delivery is successful at dawn can the bread be baked and sold to customers on the way to work.

Paris Baguette franchisee owners are rolling their feet because they do not receive bread on time.

The Franchise Owners' Association plans to demand compensation for damages from the Paris Baguette headquarters, which is the counterparty to the contract, over the fact that the goods were not supplied on time.

A self-employed person operating a Paris Baguette store in Gwangju also posted on the bulletin board of the Blue House petition, saying, "As food materials that should arrive early in the morning arrive late in the afternoon, the number of items that cannot be sold and discarded increases like a snowball." Please allow the situation to end as soon as possible."

SPC Group said, "We will not tolerate or compromise with the illegal strike of delivery drivers in the cargo alliance." .
