Under the hood, the new Subaru WRX hides a 2.4-liter boxer engine (that of the BRZ coupe but flanked here by a turbo) whose power has been increased to 275 hp.
It can be combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox or… a CVT transmission.
Indeed, the WRX wants to be more "general public" than before.
Fans of extreme cars will have to wait for the STI version which should arrive in the coming months.
Like the Outback, the WRX adopts the Starlink multimedia system with a large screen placed vertically, while its damping is controlled.
With its three-box body, this car is primarily intended for the American market.
Its high CO2 emissions should bar its access to Europe.
