The French are on the move.

According to several studies, one in two working people consider moving, nearly half of them to change their living environment.

Wanting to change city, department or even region is all well and good, but you still have to settle in a new environment that will match your personal and professional aspirations.

Countryside or urban environment?

North or South?

Big metropolis or small town?

Unless you have family ties in another territory, it is not easy to choose your next place of life.

A new web service offers to help you in your decision making.

Combine living environment and employment

Action Logement and Pôle emploi worked together to set up Mobiville.

This online tool aims to guide the territories and professions that are recruiting.

First select your profession, then add your professional criteria and your ideal living environment.

The desired city size and environment (sea, mountain, countryside) are available.

This will give you a list of cities where there are matching vacancies and little competition.

As a bonus, each municipality is briefly presented with essential information such as the number of health services, schools, administrations and other cultural and leisure places on site.

You can also find out the average price of rental and sale accommodation, as well as the average salary in your professional field.

But only a small number of trades are available.

How to get the aid?

Only one in ten French people pass the move, for lack of knowing the public aid that would facilitate this change of life.

Once the city of your choice has been selected on Mobiville, you have access to a page of advice for making your mobility project a success.

At each step, links direct you to the devices.

In the event of a job interview, for example, you can get your train ticket and accommodation costs covered.

In the event of a promise of recruitment, certain aids may allow you to access temporary accommodation.

And once the contract has been signed, the "My job, my home" scheme offers an envelope of 1,000 euros to finance your move.
