The airline operates approximately 200 round-trip international passenger flights per week, accounting for 2.2% of the time before the epidemic.
At present, international flights mainly guarantee the most basic connectivity with the lowest frequency, and the conditions for resumption and increase of flights are not available for the time being, so this year's "double festival" period is still not a good time for outbound travel.
Shang Kejia said that the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day are relatively close this year.
Unlike last year's "Double Festival" which overlapped as an 8-day holiday, this year's "Double Festival" will form a combination of long and short holidays, and civil aviation transportation will present two sets of first and last travel peaks.
The Civil Aviation Administration predicts that the peak of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday will be September 18; the peak of the National Day holiday will be September 30, October 6, October 7 and 10.
According to Shang Kejia, in July and August of this year, imported cases from abroad and multiple local epidemics superimposed, resulting in a cold season in the traditional summer season of civil aviation, and passenger traffic decreased by 42% and 16.6% compared with 2019 and 2020, respectively.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, part of the travel demand that was suppressed during the summer was released.
From the recent OTA search and booking situation, it is relatively optimistic, and it will achieve a substantial increase compared with the summer vacation.
In addition, under the current normalized prevention and control conditions, the biggest consideration for travel is the uncertainty brought about by the dynamic adjustment of prevention and control measures in various places.
Shang Kejia said that the Civil Aviation Administration actively supports airlines in flexibly organizing capacity and time resources, optimizing the route structure, and meeting the holiday market demand.
Up to now, on the basis of more than 100,000 domestic scheduled flights per week, a number of airlines have been arranged to implement 4250 overtime plans for Mid-Autumn Festival and 4406 overtime plans for National Day.
The "Double Festival" is approaching, and the Civil Aviation Administration has made three suggestions: First, travel happily without forgetting prevention and control.
The second is to facilitate travel and cooperate with prevention and control.
The third is to prevent and control healthy travel.
