China News Service, Songyuan, September 14 (Xue Dongdong) Chagan Lake, famous for its winter catching, is speeding up the construction of an ecological town to carry the auxiliary functions of eco-tourism, so that tourists can stay away from "food, lodging, shopping and entertainment" 10 kilometers away from the scenic spot, reduce the hidden dangers of the ecological environment caused by tourism, and protect the local green waters and mountains.
Chagan Lake is one of the ten largest freshwater lakes in China, located in Qianguoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County, Jilin Province.
Winter fishing in Chagan Lake began in the Liao and Jin Dynasties, and it is the only Mongolian primitive fishing method currently reserved in China. The "Sacrifice to the Lake·Wake Up Net" ceremony held every winter attracts a large number of tourists to watch.
The Chagan Lake Ecological Town under construction is located in Xinmiao Village, Changshan Town, Qianguo County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province. It is located at an important node of the Changha Economic Belt. It is well-connected by air, railway and roads. It is 13 kilometers away from Chagan Lake and downtown Songyuan. 35 kilometers, 49 kilometers from Chagan Lake Airport, Changbai Railway, Hunwu Expressway and National Highway 302 run through it. A 3-hour drive can radiate three northeastern provinces and 8 cities and 14 counties in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The reporter learned that since the construction of the Chagan Lake Ecological Town began in July 2020, all three projects have been completed, including the county road Songduan line, the village road project around Chagan Lake, and the Changshan Town Sewage Treatment Plant; The 9 single buildings of 4 projects including the tourist center in front of the station, the small town living room, themed post office and financial supermarket, and the cultural and tourism international block have been main capped.
This year, focusing on the functional positioning and service of the ecological town, 28 projects are planned and implemented, and the investment of 1.95 billion yuan is planned to be completed within the year.

Zhang Guoxing, member of the Standing Committee of Qianguo County Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, said that the construction of the town adheres to the concept of original ecology, zero emission, and carbon neutrality.
