China News Service, Baoding, September 13 (Hao Ye and Lu Zihao) Departing from the urban area of Anguo City, Hebei Province, 2 kilometers north and east along Baoheng Road, a straight road leads to Qi Village.

In September, the clear sun shines on the gullies and gullies in the village of Qi village, and the saucy autumn breeze breeds vitality.

Entering the licorice cooperative in Qicun, Anguo City, the two tons of licorice that are drying are scented under the "catalysis" of the sun and the autumn wind.

Early in the morning, Chen Tingzhen had just inspected a batch of licorice herbs ready to be sent out in bags. A few days later, the licorice will be sent to Taiwan.

Experience tells him that in about 20 days, the peak season for licorice processing and production in Qi village is coming.

The pharmaceutical industry in Anguo City, Hebei Province has a history of more than a thousand years, and enjoys the title of "Medicine Capital" and "The No. 1 Pharmaceutical City in the World". Praise.

Relying on the traditional advantages of the medicine capital of Anguo for a thousand years, no household in Qi village grows licorice Chinese medicinal materials, but it has become a well-known "licorice town" far and wide.

Chen Tingzhen, a 55-year-old medicinal processing expert, has benefited from this.

Chen Tingzhen said that the history of Qi villagers' manual cutting of medicine began in the Ming Dynasty. Around 2000, individual households in the village began to purchase licorice for simple processing.

He also started to work in licorice processing in 2003, but the processing industry in the village was scattered and the quality varied.

In order to expand sales and concentrate high-quality medicinal materials, in 2009, Chen Tingzhen established a cooperative with more than a dozen farmers.

The "real money" data convinced Chen Tingzhen that Baotuan development was the right choice.

On the one hand, the cooperative organizes some primary processing households together. For the upstream planting farmers, the credibility is guaranteed and it is convenient to implement order-based procurement; on the other hand, for the downstream enterprises, it has standardized organizational guarantees and more sales. Smooth.

Chen Tingzhen settled the accounts. After the establishment of the cooperative, the situation of farmers fighting alone was changed. The initial processing industry of licorice in Qi village has developed rapidly, and the cooperative's trading volume can reach about 1,000 tons a year.

In 2013, with the establishment of the Anguo Licorice Industry Association in Qicun, more processing households and distributors joined in, and the entire industry was further standardized and improved.

At the same time, licorice, which was initially processed in accordance with export standards, began to be exported to Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States and other regions, and the product output was further increased.

Chen Ziwen, secretary of the Party branch of Qi Village, said that due to the large scale of the industry, Qi Village has to hire a large number of laborers from surrounding villages to do licorice preliminary picking work. There are about 1,200 people in peak hours.

Every year from October to the Spring Festival, about three and a half months, each labor force has at least tens of thousands of yuan (RMB, the same below) income.

Wang Xiaoyan, who lives in Yan Village, has to ride an electric bike to Qi Village to work every day in her free time. With years of accumulated experience, she has become an expert in the initial processing of licorice.

Speaking of "work experience", Wang Xiaoyan was proud: "I can earn 80 yuan a day here, plus the 20 acres of Pinellia planted in my hometown, the income in a year is not worse than that of office workers in the city."

At the same time, in order to further develop and expand the licorice primary processing industry, people of insight in Qicun changed their business model and built primary processing plants in Xinjiang, Gansu and other producing areas, and shipped the products back to local sales, which not only saved the company’s production costs, but also It has promoted the development of industries in other regions, and the radiation effect of Anguo Pharmaceutical has further manifested.

Nowadays, the business of the people of Qi village is getting bigger and bigger. Every year 6,000 to 8,000 tons of licorice tablets are sold from Qi village to the whole country and overseas, accounting for more than 70% of the national transaction volume.

Chen Ziwen is also considering the construction of large-scale warehouses: "We plan to use the collective land in the village to integrate the previously scattered processing plants to carry out large-scale production, promote the technological innovation and industrial upgrading of the licorice industry in Qi village, and let the small licorice Paved the "Golden Road" of Qi Village."
