The fashion brand Desigual has asked its workers to vote if they want to work four days instead of five,

from Monday to Thursday,

and also with the option of teleworking one of those days, in exchange for a salary reduction of 6.5 %.

The proposal, which

will be voted on October 7,

will have to be approved by 60% of the employees, but

If you have more than 66% of the backups, it will begin to apply in the middle of that month.

It is, the firm presumes, "a brave bet to make the company the best place to work."

The proposal applies only to

employees at headquarters

, with the exception of commercial and operations teams.

If approved, a total of 502 people will have their weekly working hours reduced by five hours, from the current 39.5 hours per week to 34.5 hours.

The salary reduction will be 13%, but the company assumes half of this loss

, so that only 6.5% will affect the employee's payroll.

For now, an information process has been opened so that employees can resolve their doubts before the vote, scheduled for

During these weeks, employees will be able to participate in a pilot test of the proposal.
