It is at the IAA in Munich that Mercedes unveils the EQE, an electric version of the E-Class. 4.95 m long, it is intended to be more roomy than the thermal sedan.

The EQE looks a lot like the EQS, in particular because it also receives the front face Black Panel, hallmark of electric vehicles of the brand with the star, as well as rear lights which joined by a light signature.

Like its big sister, the new Mercedes can be fitted with the MBUX Hyperscreen, a huge screen that takes up the entire width of the dashboard.

At launch, the EQE is offered in a 350 version, which develops 291 hp and 530 Nm. Thanks to its 90 kWh battery, it is able to travel between 545 and 660 km between two charges.

Mercedes offers an optional directional rear axle capable of steering up to 10 degrees, making it easier to maneuver in town, for example.

The EQE is fitted as standard with an on-board charger of 11 kW, but it is possible to opt for a 22 kW unit, allowing the battery to be fully recharged in +/- 4 hours on the wallbox.
