“Etisalat” allows “mobile” subscribers to enter “Al Hosn” for free

Yesterday, Etisalat announced the opportunity for subscribers of postpaid and prepaid packages to use the Al Hosn application in public places without the need to activate or purchase a data package.

The company explained in a statement that this step allows the Al-Hosn application to be exempted from consuming data and not counting it from the data balance of mobile phone subscribers.

"We are pleased to provide free access to the Al-Hosn application, which reflects (Etisalat)'s continued commitment to contribute to supporting the efforts of the UAE government in adopting the latest mobile technologies to contain the (Covid-19) pandemic," said Khaled Al-Khouli, CEO of the Individuals Sector at Etisalat.

The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Committee in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi indicated, in confirmation of its decision, issued last June, to start using the Al-Hosn application for safe entry to public places in the emirate as of August 20.
