Jumeirah Group International, operating in the luxury hospitality sector and a subsidiary of Dubai Holding, announced yesterday the launch of its new international resort, Jumeirah Maldives, which will start receiving its guests as of October 1.

And it stated, in a statement, that "Jumeirah Maldives" represents a wonderful addition to the group's portfolio of hotels and resorts, pointing out that it is a resort that is entirely limited to luxury villas, including beach or floating villas over the very blue waters surrounding the northern island of "Male Atoll". Easily accessible by speedboat or seaplane from Male International Airport.

The resort features 67 beach and overwater villas, consisting of one, two and three bedrooms, all offering panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.

With areas starting from 171 square meters, the resort's villas are considered one of the largest hospitality facilities in the North Male Atoll. All resort villas include a spacious infinity pool, in addition to a spacious rooftop terrace and a dining area. Three-bedroom villas feature a private gym.

As part of Jumeirah’s keenness to enrich the dining experiences on the island and bring the flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine and Nikki’s famous Japanese cuisine, Jumeirah Maldives will feature two award-winning restaurants, Shimmers and Kaito.

Guests can explore the island with a wide range of wonderful activities, from water sports, to beach volleyball, billiards, tennis, as well as underwater photography, coconut planting and oil extraction.
