Solaseed Air, headquartered in Miyazaki City, has revealed that it has received strict attention from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, saying that flight attendants had their colleagues take a pre-departure alcohol test instead.

According to Solaseed Air, in October last year, when operating a flight from Naha to Nagoya, the senior flight attendant in charge had a colleague's flight attendant take a pre-departure alcohol test on his behalf.

In addition, this senior flight attendant instructed another flight attendant to take an alcohol test for a colleague's flight attendant on the flight from Naha to Kagoshima in March, and had him take it instead.

In each case, they were cheating because there was a possibility that alcohol remained, but Solaseed Air did not know until late last month when information was provided from the inside.

Upon receiving the report, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism said that the flight regulations prohibiting drinking within 8 hours of the start of the flight were not observed, and that the flight attendant who was in charge of the site instructed fraud. We have given strict administrative guidance to Solaseed Air.
