Namyang Dairy Chairman Hong Won-sik overturned his decision to sell the company.

A few months ago, when there was a controversy over the fact that Bulgaris was effective against Corona, he said he would resign as chairman in tears, and he also decided to sell the company, but he changed his mind.

Namyang faced a strong boycott after exaggerating the corona prevention effect of Bulgaris, Chairman Hong Won-sik held a press conference in tears.

[Hong Won-sik/Chairman of Namyang Dairy Products (press conference last April): I will step down from the position of chairman to take responsibility for all of this.]

After that

, he

signed a contract to transfer a 53% stake to Han & Company to private equity fund Han & Company for about 300 billion won and sold the company. I decided.

However, after delaying the general meeting of shareholders to finalize the sale in July, he expressed his intention to reverse it, and finally notified the cancellation of the contract after three months.

Chairman Hong asserted that "it was an unequal contract and was subjected to unfair management interference," and Han&Co countered, saying, "We asked for things that are difficult to accept, such as price renegotiation."

Han&Co has already filed a lawsuit and received an injunction so that it cannot dispose of Chairman Hong's stake, so the sale of the company became possible only after the court battle was over.

Contrary to his promise to step down, Chairman Hong still maintained his position and received over 800 million won in compensation in the first half of this year. No one in the family was responsible.

[Park Sang-in/Professor, Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Administration: I have changed my mind because the criticism of public opinion has also subsided. Those who run the agency suffered the most (I think). In fact, there is no way to sanction them other than criticism from public opinion.]

Namyang Dairy made an operating loss of 35 billion won in the first half of this year. It is up to the shareholders.
