“Without taking into account the effect of automatic budget stabilizers, the state has planned to spend (and mostly spent) on anti-crisis purposes about 5 trillion rubles, or about 4.7% of GDP in 2020, for a year and a half.

The announced measures will lead to an increase in the indicator by 9%, ”the statement says.

At the same time, according to analysts, Russia will still be in the middle of the list of developing countries in terms of the volume of anti-crisis budgetary stimuli during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to ACRA estimates, to implement the announced measures, the state will need about 450-500 billion rubles, of which more than 90% will go to payments for pensioners.

The Central Bank had previously assured that additional one-time social payments to pensioners would not affect the monetary policy of the Central Bank of Russia.

According to the head of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes Andrei Makarov, the announced measures to support the population can be financed from additional budget revenues.
