China News Service, Beijing, August 28. China Aviation Engine Group Co., Ltd. (AVIC) celebrated its fifth anniversary on the 28th.

In the past five years, China Aviation Development has accelerated the pace of research and development, promoted balanced production, and realized the identification/finalization, first flight/first flight of multiple engines and gas turbines, providing strong support for the construction of national defense weapons and equipment.

China Aviation Development said that in the past five years, the group has made significant progress in the research and development of a batch of products. Large and small bypasses are more powerful than the development of turbofans, turboshafts, turboprop aeroengines and gas turbines. A batch of key core technologies has made important breakthroughs and overcomes. There are many problems in the development of advanced materials and the processing of turbine blades; a batch of advanced products were delivered on time, and user satisfaction continued to increase; a batch of scientific research results stood out and won the National Science and Technology Award, the National Defense Science and Technology Award and the Army Science and Technology Award.

In the past five years, the completion rate of China Aviation Development's scientific research plan has remained above 96%, and the batch production tasks have been completed year after year. The number of invention patents per 10,000 people has reached 816.

Under the strategic layout of "exploring one generation, pre-researching one generation, developing one generation, producing one generation, and guaranteeing one generation", the aviation engine business is developing rapidly, and the independent research and development of aviation equipment "China Heart" has entered the fast lane of comprehensive development.

Among them, in 2018, the large-scale amphibious aircraft AG600 equipped with domestic turboprop-6 engines successfully made its first flight on the water; the J-10B thrust vector demonstrator equipped with domestic aero engines made its debut at the Zhuhai Air Show.

In December 2020, the AGT-110 heavy-duty gas turbine assembly with completely independent intellectual property rights rolled off the assembly line, marking China's independent innovation of gas turbines to achieve important results; in July 2021, the AES100 engine dual-engine equipped helicopter successfully flew for the first time, and the Chinese civil turboshaft engine A solid step has been taken in independent research and development.

China Aviation Development Chairman Cao Jianguo and General Manager Li Fangyong jointly issued a speech on the same day, saying that in the past five years, China Aviation Development has vigorously built a comprehensive and unified independent research and development system, systematically deployed basic research and cutting-edge exploration, and accelerated key core technology research.

Increase investment in research and development, build innovation platforms, strengthen research and application of simulation technology, and the road of independent research and development has become more stable.

They also reminded that China Aviation Development still has many "gateways" to conquer in the "rush for the test" of the aero engine business in the new era. It must be confident and determined in independent research and development, and make unremitting efforts to accelerate the building of an aviation power.

It is understood that China Aviation Development was established in Beijing on August 28, 2016, and was jointly funded by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Beijing State-owned Capital Operation and Management Center, Aviation Industry Corporation of China, and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China. China Aviation Development has 26 directly affiliated enterprises and institutions, 3 main board listed companies, and currently employs more than 70,000 people. (over)
