Khojaly added, to "Emirates Today", that these reservations are linked to attending "Expo 2020 Dubai" only, and do not include other reservations for recreational tourism for local visitors or international tourists, noting that the group's hotels received many requests from companies, delegations, countries and individuals to attend the exhibition. .

He explained that "with the approach of the exhibition activities, the number of reservations will increase at greater rates during the next few days."

This was considered a strong indication of the accelerating growth and recovery of the hotel sector in Dubai, especially with the approach of Expo 2020 Dubai.

Khojaly explained that the bulk of the reservations for "Expo 2020 Dubai" are for long stays spanning more than a week, which is another positive indicator that will be reflected in the high period of stay of guests, the average occupancy, and the price of one room, in addition to the expected return.

Khojaly stressed that the future expectations of the Hyatt Hotels Group indicate that the performance of the hotel sector will approach and exceed pre-pandemic levels, in light of the demand for major exhibitions and events hosted by Dubai, and the usual active tourism movement that the emirate attracts during this period of the year.

He pointed out that the average prices of hotel rooms achieved continuous growth rates, compared to pre-pandemic levels, and reached their peak, finally, with the support of the local tourism movement, noting that the promotional offers offered by hotels were remarkably popular throughout the summer.
