The compulsory shutdown system that bans late-night youth online games will be abolished 10 years after its introduction.

The government announced that it would abolish the game shutdown system as it was pointed out that it is an anachronism to infringe youth's right to self-determination and to regulate only PC games in the mobile era.

Instead, we decided to enhance the convenience of the 'game time selection system', in which teenagers or their guardians voluntarily apply for a time limit, and strengthen the post management of harmful game products.
