Whether it is the last vacationers who have lunch on the beach or the first employees back to work, all will be faced with a major change: the rules governing the use of meal vouchers dated 2020 differ from September 1.

Before leaving for lunch, be sure to check the validity dates of your meal vouchers.

If they date back to 2020, they are no longer valid from September 1.

Their validity had been extended to compensate for the closure of restaurants in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic last year.

But this time, they will be permanently unusable from next Wednesday.

How do I get the money back from expired checks? 

So how can you avoid losing the money for unused meal vouchers?

If you have a meal voucher card, the remaining amount should be transferred automatically.

Be careful, however, if you have titles in paper format.

You must then bring them back to your company for replacement.

How much can I spend on meal vouchers? 

However, the government is extending the exceptional ceiling put in place to support restaurateurs since their reopening.

Recipients of meal vouchers will be able to continue spending up to 38 euros per meal, including weekends and public holidays until February 28, 2022. The ceiling remains limited to 19 euros in supermarkets.
