Created in 1992 by Argentinian Horacio Pagani, the eponymous manufacturer specializes in supercars with exceptional performance. It was with the Mercedes-AMG-powered Zonda that the firm became known to the general public, and forged its reputation of obsession with an extreme quality of finish. In 2011 is presented the Huayra, which also has a V12 AMG. Still in production, it begins to show the weight of years. This is why the arrival of a Saudi national fund in its capital up to 30% brings fresh air to society, which is said to be preparing a new model that is said to be electrified.

The agreements do not provide for any change at the head of the firm, the management of which remains in the hands of the Pagani.

For its part, Saudi Arabia is seeking to develop activities other than oil.

This same investment fund has recently acquired shares in McLaren and Chinese manufacturer Lucid Motors.
