The UAE and the Republic of Kazakhstan held the ministerial meeting of the joint committee in its eighth session with the participation of actors from various sectors of common interest. The work of the committee was chaired by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail bin Muhammad Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Teloperdi.

Al Mazrouei noted the growth of bilateral relations, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries 29 years ago, praising the development of trade relations in recent years, and stressed the UAE's keenness on more cooperation in the field of non-oil trade, in line with the state's direction towards strengthening efforts to diversify sources of income.

He stressed that the UAE is looking forward to strengthening the future prospects of the relationship with the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to develop common interests in various fields.

Al Mazrouei touched on the support provided by Kazakhstan in a group of multilateral organizations, and expressed his appreciation for its continuous support to the UAE in international forums, and his gratitude to the Kazakh side, for its support for "Expo 2020 Dubai" and the opportunities provided by this event to strengthen trade and investment relations.

For his part, Telloberde affirmed his country's commitment to deepening cooperation with the UAE across various sectors.
