According to Boltunov, if in July the purchase price of a standard wooden coffin did not exceed 7 thousand rubles, then from August - already 9.2 thousand rubles.

More expensive samples have risen in price from 15 thousand rubles to 20-25 thousand rubles, he said.

“The metal that we purchased for the manufacture of fences at the beginning of the year at 40–45 thousand rubles per ton, now costs at least 110 thousand rubles,” he added.

The company "Favorit" confirmed to the publication that they increased the cost of coffins by 30%, and "this is not the last increase."

They argued this with the forthcoming ban on the export of unprocessed or roughly processed timber abroad.
