According to statistics from the Ministry of Water Resources, as of the end of 2020, 9.31 million rural water supply projects have been completed nationwide. The rural centralized water supply rate has reached 88%, the tap water penetration rate has reached 83%, and the level of rural water supply security has been further improved.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Water Resources said that due to China's complex national conditions and large regional differences, the current national rural water supply security level is still in its infancy, and some rural areas still have problems such as unstable water sources and low water quality assurance levels.
