The Justice
has validated the specifications approved by the Government on the conditions of travel of the Imserso
that had been appealed by several associations of hoteliers.
Specifically, the Central Administrative Court of Contractual Appeals has decided to lift the precautionary suspension of the hiring of this program and has dismissed the appeals presented by the hoteliers.
Two tourist employers, the Spanish Confederation of Tourist Accommodation (Cehat) and the Tourist Hotel Business Association of the Valencian Community (Hosbec),
had challenged the specifications,
considering that the conditions imposed on them were not adjusted to their costs.
In theory, subsidized trips for the elderly
should begin to be marketed in September
, so that beneficiaries could travel as early as October, but the hoteliers' resources threatened to block the calendar, after more than a year and a half of hiatus due to fault of the pandemic.
As Imserso sources have explained to the servimedia agency,
"this setback has not led to any delay
in the contracting operations, so that the planned schedule for awarding the lots in September is maintained to start the trips in October, as As planned".
The hotelier associations asked for an update of the conditions that are required of them to participate in the program, estimating that the prices were below the costs.
The specifications for these trips, which depend on the Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda, are usually published in February or March,
are awarded to participating companies in May and the trips begin to be sold in September
, so there are a few months to resolve possible remedies of the parties.
This year the specifications were approved in July.
