  In the complex submarine environment, how to safely and reliably realize the control of oil and gas production equipment is the core key. This core technology is known as the submarine control module (SCM) in the industry.

  Because underwater operations require extremely high standards for equipment safety and reliability, once a leakage problem occurs, it will cause serious damage to the marine ecology.

  The team from the Institute of Underwater Operation Technology and Equipment of Harbin Engineering University has made breakthroughs in underwater high-pressure integrated hydraulic valve plates, automatic and precise docking of underwater multi-channel hydraulic electrical circuits, intelligent monitoring of underwater power supply units and multi-channel data processing in the main control station, etc. A number of core technologies have successfully developed the underwater control module (SCM), main control station, power unit and installation and recovery equipment with independent intellectual property rights, and successfully developed the "most powerful brain" for underwater oil and gas exploitation.

  This equipment is China's first domestically-made underwater control system used in the development of the Bohai Sea oil and gas field. Its various indicators have reached the same international level, and it has been certified by the Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

It marks an important breakthrough in the localization of China's high-end offshore oil and gas key equipment, opening up a new mode of shallow water oilfield operations.
