The corresponding statement was published on the FAS website.

The head of the Ministry of Energy Nikolai Shulginov said that “the production of petroleum products at the refineries is sufficient to fully meet the current demand for fuel, taking into account the shift in the repair schedule at the Ryazan Petrochemical Complex, the reorientation of a part of gasoline exports from the Kirishskiy refinery of Surgutneftegas PJSC to the domestic market on the recommendations of the Ministry of Energy of Russia and FAS Russia, as well as a significant excess by all manufacturers of the minimum sales of motor fuel on the stock exchange ”.

According to him, oil companies have begun to implement the recommendations of the Ministry of Energy's headquarters on the use of gasoline and diesel fuel from oil depots for shipment to the domestic market, since the current level of fuel reserves is at a sufficiently high level for the season.

In turn, the head of the FAS Maxim Shaskolsky said that “in order to analyze the factors affecting the change in wholesale prices for oil products, as well as strategies that could lead to a violation of antimonopoly legislation, including an increase in prices for oil products, the service asked the oil companies register of concluded contracts for the supply and purchase of petroleum products, in order to identify the volumes purchased by third parties in the interests of these oil companies and their affiliates. "

He said that “the FAS also conducted unscheduled inspections of oil traders and requested similar information from them”.

“If violations of the antimonopoly legislation are revealed based on the analysis of the information received, response measures will be taken,” Shaskolsky added.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, during a meeting with representatives of oil companies, executive authorities, analysts and industry experts on the current situation in the fuel market, commented on the situation with exchange prices for oil products.

At the end of July, it was reported that the Federal Antimonopoly Service was conducting unscheduled inspections of oil traders against the backdrop of rising fuel exchange prices.

Pavel Zavalny, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy, spoke with Inforeactor about the factors affecting gasoline prices.
