Dubai raises hotel capacity to 100%

The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai stated that it was allowed to raise the capacity of all hotel facilities operating in Dubai to 100%.

The department indicated, in a circular, that it had updated a set of precautionary and preventive measures for the tourism sector, and accordingly the department directed all concerned, including investors and managers of hotel facilities, restaurants, facilities and lounges in the Emirate of Dubai, to abide by the following:

Restaurants and cafes

Raising the capacity to 80%, with the possibility of reducing the social distance between tables from 2 to 1.5 meters, and returning to the usual pre-pandemic working hours, while adhering to the permits and instructions issued by the department.

Restaurants and cafés can extend recreational activities to three in the morning, while adhering to the general rules.

Recreational places

Raising the capacity of all recreational facilities, exhibitions, museums, cinemas, and tourism activities to 80%.

Business events

Increasing the capacity to 100%, while adhering to all business event protocols issued by the department.

Community events

Increasing the number of participants to 2500 for indoor places, and 5000 for open places, and the vaccination is not mandatory.

Recreational and sporting events

Increasing the capacity for all venues where events are held (including audiences) to 60%, without specifying the maximum number of participants, and with no mandatory vaccination.

Institutional events and award ceremonies

Increase the number of participants to a maximum of 1,000 people, and the vaccination is not mandatory.

Social activities

Increasing the capacity to 60% and not exceeding 300 people, with no mandatory vaccination.

The owner of the ceremony pledged to assume full responsibility in adhering to all precautionary measures.

According to the circular, the department allowed recreational activities (with free movement), and limited them to recipients of the vaccine, so that the number of attendees does not exceed 5,000 people, while adhering to the general rules, and mandatory vaccination for bidders residing in the country, or conducting a PCR examination for unvaccinated bidders 24 hours before of efficacy.

The department stressed the need to fully adhere to the precautionary measures and procedures previously issued, and "Dubai Tourism" will, on an ongoing basis, evaluate the new situation with the health authorities.
