Expo 2020 Dubai unveiled the “Man and Planet Earth” program, an innovative schedule of events, experiences, thought leadership dialogues, and public discussions aimed at finding solutions to some of the world's most pressing challenges.

In a statement yesterday, he stated that the program was designed in cooperation with and for the global community, and will harness the ability of the World Expo to mobilize energies to establish a long-term legacy that stimulates positive change.

According to the statement, the "Human and Planet Earth" program will be organized throughout the six-month period of Expo 2020 Dubai, and includes 10 thematic weeks and 18 international days, and each of these events and occasions will address major issues of global importance.

Over the course of weeks, the participants will discuss solutions to critical global challenges, from reducing climate change and biodiversity losses, to making human habitats more sustainable, to bridging the digital divide, and ensuring equal access to education and health care.

More than 220 events will take place in the course of the programme, ranging from mega forums and official conferences, to seminars and workshops.

The World Majlis Series, a platform dedicated to connecting minds from Expo 2020 Dubai, will play a pivotal role by organizing 53 sessions designed to engage visitors over the course of the six months.

The “Man and Planet” program revolves around the topics of technology, innovation, youth, and the empowerment of women and girls, and will bring together a diverse spectrum of viewpoints, to support the exchange of influential ideas between experts and pioneers in various fields, including the Minister of State for Advanced Technology, leader of the scientific team of the Emirates Project. To explore Mars, the "Probe of Hope", Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, founder of the "Eden Project" Sir Tim Smit, primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist and United Nations Ambassador for Peace Jane Goodall, as well as representatives of the 191 countries participating in "Expo 2020 Dubai", and pioneers business, community activists, and the international community as a whole.

By revealing bold ambitions to shape a more sustainable, safer, healthier and more equitable future for all, the program will highlight the urgency of positive change and the ability of every partner, participant, and visitor to Expo 2020 Dubai to make that change happen. The Human and Planet Earth program explores challenges and opportunities that the burden of dealing with is not limited to decision makers, but to all of our planet's 7.8 billion people.

The program includes five tracks representing a rich tapestry of exciting activities that explore the 10 weeks of themes from different sides, the cultural “Bridge Building” track, which will work to remove barriers, by harnessing the power of storytelling, art, and music, to promote intercultural dialogue and knowledge exchange.

In turn, the "Expo Social Development" track will highlight the importance of providing opportunities for all, by asking the following question: What can we do today to create a more equitable future?

This series will focus in particular on gender equality and remote communities at risk of marginalization.

Climate change is the most serious threat facing our planet, and the actions we take now will affect the environment we leave for future generations.

In addition, the 'Living in Balance' track will focus on how the international community can unite its efforts and work together to restore equilibrium with the planet.

At a time when the winds of global economic change are blowing, the "Together We Prosper" track sheds light on business opportunities.

As for the fifth track: "Vision 2071", it focuses on the future, and embodies the conviction that nothing is impossible when we join hands and work together, as 50 years ago, the founding fathers of the UAE set a bold and ambitious vision to chart the features of a new future for their people.
