China News Service, Kunming, August 5 (Cheng Hao and He Zengwang) On the 4th, as the tunnel face of the main tunnel downstream of the No. 10 branch of the Kunyu Tunnel was blasted, Kunyu, the central Yunnan water diversion project undertaken by China Railway Fifth Bureau The overall excavation of the four branch tunnels of the tunnel smoothly exceeded the 5000-meter mark.

With a design length of 20176.035 meters, the Kunyu Tunnel is the first long tunnel currently under construction in China. The tunnel is located in the Economic Development Zone and Chenggong District of Kunming City, Yunnan Province.

The tunnel construction task includes 4 construction support tunnels.

Since the beginning of this year, as the construction progress progresses, all four branch tunnels of the project have successfully entered the main tunnel for construction.

However, with the deepening of the tunnel excavation, the geological conditions have become more complicated. As represented by the No. 9 branch, the surrounding rock geology is poor, the layered limestone is mostly filled with mud, and natural collapse occurs frequently.

In order to promote the project construction in an orderly manner, the project department and all participating units continue to strengthen the awareness of safety management, establish a normalized emergency response mechanism, organize emergency rescue drills for water and mud, rationally place emergency rescue materials on the work surface, monitor video monitoring and early warning, and normalize It can respond to sudden geological disasters in a timely manner by adopting methods such as monitoring and measuring and advanced geology.
