The number of unemployed (category A) recorded a significant drop of 1.3% in the second quarter in France (excluding Mayotte), or 50,600 registered less, to 3.750 million, according to figures from the Ministry of Labor released Tuesday.

Including reduced activity (categories B and C), the number of job seekers is down 0.5% and stands at 5.984 million, thus dropping below the threshold of 6 million, according to the Statistics Directorate. (Dares).
