After Beijing's imports and exports exceeded 250 billion yuan in March, the scale of imports and exports in April and May "rushed higher and fell back", showing a downward trend from the previous month.

In June, imports and exports amounted to 266.7 billion yuan, a record high in monthly imports and exports in Beijing since December 2019.

  Import and export with major trading partners maintained growth.

In the first half of the year, the Beijing area and the top five trading partners, the European Union (excluding the United Kingdom), the United States, ASEAN, Australia, and Japan have maintained growth in imports and exports, and the amount of imports and exports accounted for 14.1%, 10.1%, 10%, and 6.4 of the entire Beijing area. %, 4.9%.

Among them, imports and exports to the United States amounted to 143.65 billion yuan, an increase of 120.9%, the highest increase.

During the same period, the Beijing area's imports and exports to Central and Eastern European countries amounted to 25.51 billion yuan, an increase of 44.4%.

  Imports of automobiles and agricultural products increased by more than 50%.

In the first half of the year, among the top five imported commodities in Beijing, automobiles and agricultural products imported 111.22 billion yuan and 96.85 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 71.2% and 53.6% respectively.

In addition, crude oil imports were 404.19 billion yuan, an increase of 20.3%, imports increased by 2.7%, and average prices rose by 17.2%; natural gas imports were 79.24 billion yuan, an increase of 11.1%; iron ore and concentrate imports were 77.98 billion yuan, an increase of 36.6%.

  High-tech products stimulated the growth of exports in Beijing.

In the first half of the year, Beijing exported 37.91 billion yuan of medical materials and drugs, an increase of 12.4 times; exports of mobile phones were 43.56 billion yuan, an increase of 68.6%; and exports of integrated circuits were 8.5 billion yuan, an increase of 27.8%.

During the same period, the export of bulk commodities in Beijing dropped. The export of refined oil was 78.39 billion yuan, down 5.6%, the export volume fell by 5.8%, and the average price rose slightly by 0.2%; the export of steel products was 6.98 billion yuan, down 0.8%.
