  It is reported that the imported iron ore products are mainly sold to iron and steel plants in Urumqi and Xinyuan County. After being processed into billets, steel, steel frames and other products, they will be sent to all parts of the country to further meet the domestic demand for steel production.

  Since June 1, 2020, the Horgos Port has optimized the inspection and supervision model of imported iron ore products, from the previous implementation of quality inspections on a batch-by-batch basis to the implementation of inspections based on enterprise applications, and the import volume of iron ore products has further increased.

  With the improvement of the level of facilitation of customs clearance, more companies choose to import iron ore products from Khorgos Port.

Imported iron ore products are mainly iron ore, iron concentrate, and pellets, all of which are originally produced in Kazakhstan.
