Where is Germany going after the election?

The Center for European Economic Research has modeled where the journey for companies in tax policy is likely to lead.

The starting point is the question of what if the parties could implement what they have outlined in their programs, free from budget worries and coalition pressures.

With the Union and the FDP, the situation would be better for companies.

That is less surprising than the other finding: with the Greens, the status quo would remain.

Only on the left is the matter clear.

Germany would be at the end - the list.

The plans of the governments in Washington and London are as exciting as the party programs. Of course, nobody can say today what will actually happen tomorrow. The study commissioned by the Family Businesses Foundation has value nonetheless. She reminds us that tax policy is not only about what is perceived as fair, but also about providing incentives - or not.
