The world's large tonnage, large oil storage FPSO (Offshore Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Oil Tanker) "SEPETIBA" built by the company slowly left the dock and was towed out of the river from Nantong.

  According to the staff of Nantong Maritime Safety Administration, the ship has a total length of 341.31 meters, a total height of 85.5 meters, a total width of 86 meters, and a draft of 6.8 meters. The total length of the towing fleet is 634 meters. The formation length has created a record high in the history of navigation on the Yangtze River.

  FPSO (Offshore Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Vessel) is commonly known as "Offshore Mobile Oil Refinery". It can connect subsea oil wells and drilling platforms through hoses and oil delivery platform systems to realize crude oil input, processing, storage and output.

  "SEPETIBA" is the first ship of China Merchants Heavy Industries (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. to build two FPSOs for the Monaco SBM Group. It has an oil storage capacity of 2 million barrels, an empty ship weight of 93,000 tons, a maximum displacement of 460,000 tons, and a total value of approximately 2.7 billion yuan is a new type of offshore floating production, storage and offloading device with large tonnage and large oil storage in similar projects that has been delivered to the industry. It is a veritable "sea giant".

  Compared with the traditional FPSO, the hull of the ship has a wide range of uses and strong adaptability, and can meet the marine environmental conditions of the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa and Brazil. It is not only suitable for oil and gas development operations in various sea areas around the world, but will also greatly reduce the owner's operating costs.

  Under the unified dispatch of Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration, Nantong Maritime Safety Administration coordinated relevant parties to carry out multiple rounds of special demonstrations in advance, repeatedly revised and improved the traffic organization and maintenance plan, organized and carried out pre-voyage inspections, emergency drills, and cleanup of surrounding waters.

During the period of the ship leaving the berth and towing, the maritime departments of Nantong, Changshu, and Taicang strengthened the linkage, implemented temporary traffic control in advance, and dispatched 6 marine patrol boats to implement escort.

The Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration coordinates the Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration and the maritime departments along the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River to control the traffic flow of the descending ships, creating a safe navigation environment for towing operations.
