Gazprom commented on the decision of the EU court on the OPAL gas pipeline

“Although the companies of the Gazprom group were not a party to the process, we closely followed the course of the proceedings and were disappointed with the creation of artificial barriers for the effective use of investments in the gas transportation system of Europe,” the TASS company was quoted as saying.

Earlier, the EU Court upheld the limitation of the capacity of the OPAL gas pipeline by 50% at the request of Poland.

The court's decision states that this was done "on the basis of the principle of energy solidarity."

Sergei Tsekov, a member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, commented in an interview with RT on the decision of the EU court on OPAL.
