Hitachi, Ltd. announced that it has completed the acquisition procedure for an emerging IT company in the United States.

The purchase price is more than 1 trillion yen, and the aim is to capture the rapidly expanding demand for digitalization in the world and further strengthen the IT-related business, which is positioned as a pillar of earnings.

According to the announcement, Hitachi has acquired all the shares of the emerging IT company "Global Logic" based in Silicon Valley, USA, and completed the acquisition procedure on the 14th.


It will be a large-scale acquisition of 9.6 billion dollars and more than 1 trillion yen in Japanese yen.



The company to be acquired is a company that was founded in 2000 and specializes in digital technology, and develops commercial software for companies such as telecommunications, finance, and automobiles.
