Perhaps this is a positive sign sent to Washington: government spokesman Ali Rabiie has asserted that Tehran is ready to release any American or Iranian-American prisoners.

Negotiations are underway on this issue.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, for humanitarian reasons, is ready to exchange all prisoners with all Iranian prisoners arrested around the world at the request and by order of the Americans.

Several Iranian-American or American citizens have been detained in Iran for several years.

Likewise, Iranians are being held in the United States and others arrested at Washington's request in several countries for violations of US sanctions against Iran.

This demand from Tehran can, however, complicate an agreement.

Nuclear negotiations at a standstill

At the same time,

nuclear negotiations

in Vienna for the lifting of US sanctions appear to have stalled.

Monday, July 12, the head of Iranian diplomacy suggested that the resumption of these negotiations will not begin until the inauguration of the new

p

curatorial resident Ebrahim Raeesi

on August 5.

Six rounds of negotiations have already taken place in Vienna, but not all issues have been resolved.

Iran is ready to limit its nuclear program again if the United States drops all sanctions imposed since 2018.
