On the 13th, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released an analysis report on the operation of the domestic mobile phone market in June 2021.

Data shows that the proportion of 5G mobile phone shipments is constantly increasing.

From January to June 2021, 5G mobile phone shipments accounted for 73.4% of the same period.

Among them, in June, 5G mobile phones were 19,791,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 13.0% and a month-on-month increase of 18.2%. The proportion of mobile phone shipments in the same period increased to 77.1%.

The overall mobile phone market is still being repaired.

In June, mobile phone shipments in the domestic market were 25.64 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 10.4% and a month-on-month increase of 11.7%.

According to the report’s analysis, mobile phone shipments in June continued to decline year-on-year, mainly due to the domestic mobile phone market continuing to be affected by factors such as the early release of demand (shipments in the first quarter increased by 100.1% year-on-year), the shortage of mobile chips, and the absence of Huawei. Trends, but the decline narrowed to 10% from more than 30% in April and May, and achieved a month-on-month increase of 11.7%.

Due to the low base last year, in the first half of 2021, the total mobile phone shipments in the domestic market totaled 174 million units, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%.
