From August 1 electricity should cost slightly more.
Tariffs are expected to increase by 0.48% in France, if the government follows the energy regulator's proposal made public on Monday.
The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) has indeed proposed to the Ministers of Energy and the Economy to increase the regulated tariffs for the sale of electricity (TRVE) by 0.48% for blue residential tariffs. and 0.38% for professional blue rates.
This increase would represent around 4 euros per year on the bill of a residential customer and 6 euros for a professional.
More expensive delivery
According to CRE, this increase reflects in particular the increase in the transmission component after the entry into force of the new tariff for the use of public electricity networks.
It also takes into account a reassessment of the catching up of tariffs linked to amounts not covered in 2019, the government having then decided to freeze the increases.
Regulated tariffs are set by the government on a proposal from CRE on the basis of numerous parameters (supply costs, transmission, distribution, various taxes, etc.).
