The real-time monitoring data of the China Express Big Data Platform of the State Post Bureau shows that as of July 4, the national express delivery business volume exceeded 50 billion pieces in 2021, which is close to the level of 2018.
Among them, the business volume sent to rural areas has grown rapidly, accounting for 30%.
Since 2021, China's express delivery industry has continued to maintain a strong growth momentum.
It took only 6 months for the express business volume to exceed 50 billion pieces, nearly half a year earlier than the first 50 billion pieces in 2018, and about 2 months earlier than 2020.
Especially since the second quarter, the monthly business volume has reached nearly tens of billions, which shows the development resilience, vigor and growth potential of my country's express delivery market, and also demonstrates the important role of the postal express industry in promoting consumption and smoothing the economic cycle.
The rapid growth of express delivery business has benefited from the continuous improvement of China's economy, the continuous upgrade of consumer promotion activities, and the acceleration of "express delivery into the village".
Since the beginning of this year, events such as the New Year’s Festival, the Double Product Shopping Festival, and the 618 e-commerce promotion have continuously set new records, which have driven the continuous increase in express delivery business volume.
Under the promotion of the State Post Bureau, delivery companies have accelerated the delivery of express delivery into villages through modes such as express mail, express delivery, and quick cooperation in accordance with local conditions, and rural areas have become an important source of increased business volume.
At present, 100% of rural villages and towns in my country have established post offices, 100% of organized villages have achieved direct mail delivery, and 97% of towns have express delivery outlets. The express service access rate of organized villages has continued to increase, and the postal express industry has become a supportive of agriculture. An important new force in rural areas and serving farmers.
At present, the average daily business volume of my country's express delivery is about 300 million pieces, and the average daily service users are about 600 million person-times. The role of the industry in serving people's livelihood and economy is becoming more prominent.
