Change of power at one of the largest German

retail groups: The head of the Schwarz Group (Lidl, Kaufland) Klaus Gehrig has surprisingly resigned from his position.

The manager spontaneously decided to take the step because he was unable to come to an agreement with the owner Dieter Schwarz regarding a very important person, the Schwarz group announced on Friday.

Gehrig is considered the architect of the retail group that made the Schwarz Group, with Lidl and Kaufland, one of the largest retailers in the world

.

The Schwarz Group announced that Dieter Schwarz had given Gehrig leave with the stipulation that further cooperation should be regulated in a further discussion.

He also thanked him for the great development work over the past few years.

The relationship between Dieter Schwarz and Klaus Gehrig is still untroubled.

Schwarz will now take on the role of general partner until the designated Gehrig successor and current Lidl boss Gerd Chrzanowski can take over the mandate.
