Investors from 97 nationalities trade in the local financial markets

The number of foreign nationalities whose investors trade in the UAE financial markets has exceeded 97 nationalities from different countries, since the beginning of this year, according to official statistics issued by the markets.

Investors with American and British citizenship topped the list of the most active foreigners in the local financial markets during the first half of 2021, while the Saudis and Kuwaitis came at the forefront of the Gulf's activities, while the Jordanians and Egyptians topped the list in the Arab world.

Statistics issued by the financial markets showed that the value of transactions of investors of American and British nationalities exceeded nearly 23 billion dirhams, buying and selling, during the first six months of this year, while their net investments amounted to about 1.9 billion dirhams, which reflects their investment orientation in the markets.

At the level of investor transactions from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, it amounted to more than 2.5 billion dirhams during the first half of this year, while the value of transactions of Jordanian and Egyptian nationalities amounted to about 2.3 billion dirhams.
