line will be connected, has been decided to go from Gimpo to Bucheon as originally planned. However, it was decided to increase accessibility to downtown Seoul by linking with other routes.

Gimpo Gold Line is the only railway that connects Gimpo with 660,000 people and Geomdan New City with Seoul.

Since it is a two-car light train, it is very crowded during commuting hours, so residents have argued that the new GTX-D line should go directly through Gangnam in Seoul to Hanam.

In the end, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided to establish a new line from Gimpo Janggi to Bucheon Sports Complex, and instead to promote a method of using the GTX-B line from Bucheon Sports Complex to Yeouido and Yongsan Station in Seoul.

Although it is not directly related to Gangnam, he emphasized that the train ride time from Gimpo Janggi to Yongsan Station will be reduced by 20 minutes compared to the current one, and it will be reduced by 17 minutes to Shinnonhyeon Station.

[Lee Woo-je/Director of Railroad Policy Division, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: In the western part of the metropolitan area, various railroad projects are underway, such as the extension of Incheon Line 2 to Goyang and the airport railroad express project.] The

extension of Seoul Line 5 to Gimpo and Geomdan was also included in the additional review project.

However, the controversy is expected to continue as residents of the Gimpo area continue to insist on the connection to Gangnam, saying that it is only an uncertain plan.

[Seo Hyung-bae/Chairman of the Gimpo Geomdan Transportation Citizens' Solidarity: Let's discuss what we are going to promote, this is the stage. We don't believe it anymore. Next week, I will go to the Blue House (I will protest.)] In

this railroad network plan, the 20-year long-awaited project in the Yeonghonam region, the Dalbit Inland Railroad project, which connects Gwangju and Daegu in one hour, was reflected at the last minute.
