On June 28, after more than three years of construction, the Guangdong Diaoshun Sea-crossing Bridge was officially opened, accelerating the connection of western Guangdong to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The Diaoshun Sea-crossing Bridge is located in the northern part of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. It crosses Zhanjiang Bay and connects the east and west banks of Zhanjiang City. The total length is about 9.36 kilometers. It is a two-way 6-lane bridge with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour.

The bridge was designed by Guangdong Transportation Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd. and constructed by China Railway Bridge Bureau.

The bridge is designed with Chinese culture and local culture as its design concept. The two characters "Tiao Shun" of the bridge are written in Chinese traditional seal style, and "Tiao Shun" means "wind and rain are smooth".

With the theme of "Smooth weather, Zhanjiang Red Gate", it combines arteries and bay landscapes into one. It is an urban landmark bridge on Zhanjiang Bay that can be called "strength and beauty."

As a part of the northern line of the Central Bay Area Ring in Zhanjiang City’s road network planning, the Tiaoshun Cross-sea Bridge is an important link between Zhanjiang’s urban area and Haidong New District. It is a measure to build a beautiful coastal emerging city and a port industrial city. Zhanjiang has played an important role in integrating, connecting, and serving the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and accelerating the rapid economic development of western Guangdong.
