On June 28, the lotus roots in Liujiang District, Liuzhou City, Guangxi, the "Hometown of Jade and Lotus Roots in China", entered the peak season for listing.

The lotus farmers in Baipeng Town in the district began to go to the fields to collect lotus roots in the early hours of the morning, and until 9 o'clock in the morning, there was an endless stream of lotus farmers transporting lotus roots out of the country.

Baipeng Town is one of the largest "double-season lotus root" producing areas in China. The lotus root produced is as white as jade and has a large tender flesh. It is known as the "jade lotus root" and has been exported to the United States, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries.
