The Diaoshun Sea-crossing Bridge is located in the northern part of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. It crosses Zhanjiang Bay and connects the east and west banks of Zhanjiang City. The total length is about 9.36 kilometers. It is a two-way 6-lane bridge with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
The bridge was designed by Guangdong Transportation Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd. and constructed by China Railway Bridge Bureau.
The Diaoshun Cross-sea Bridge is a component of the northern line of the Zhongwan District Ring in the Zhanjiang City Road Network Planning, and is an important link between Zhanjiang City and Haidong New District.
The completion of the bridge and opening to traffic has created a new pattern of fast-connecting external channels in Zhanjiang City with "North Link Expressway, Nantong Port Area, West into the City, and East Link to the Airport".

At the same time, the bridge is designed with Chinese culture and local culture as its design concept. The word "tuneshun" of the bridge is written in traditional Chinese seal type. It is a city landmark bridge on Zhanjiang Bay, which integrates transportation routes and bay landscape.
As a component of the northern line of the Bay Area Ring in Zhanjiang’s road network planning, the bridge is an important link between Zhanjiang’s urban area and Haidong New District.
